My favourite kind of sport

People all over the world are fond of sports and games. Sport makes people healthy keeps them fit, more organized and better disciplined. It unites people of different classes and nationalities. Many people do sports on their personal initiative. They go in for skiing, skating, basket-ball, table tennis, swimming, volley-ball etc.
Sport is paid much attention to in our educational establishments. Gymnastics is a part of children’s daily activities in the kindergartens. Physical culture is a compulsory subject at schools and colleges.
As long as I can remember myself I was always keen on basket-ball. I love this sport with its old noble traditions, though I never dreamed of becoming anything more then an amateur.
Sometimes I watch all basket-ball competition and championships. There are many interesting person, who plays basket-ball, bat I don’t know his name. Ural Great is a popular command in our city. Sometimes I go for there plays.
In summer I play basket-ball with my friends on the stadium. Also it is a great opportunity to socialize with people who have similar interests.
All over the world people of different ages are very fond of sports and games. Sports not only helps people to become strong and to develop physically but also makes them more organized and better disciplined in their daily activities.

“My Native Place”

My native place is Perm. It’s a wonderful city with its history. Our city was founded on the Egoshiha-river in 1723 by V.Tatishev according to the decree of Peter I. There are many places of interest in the city, for example the Museum of Local Lore, History and Economy. Ordzhonikidze Street is one of the busiest streets in our city. Komsomolsky Avenue is the central street of our city. Many people like this street. Lenin Street- the largest, the busiest and the most beautiful street of our city. There are a lot of shops, cafes, restaurants, offices and cinemas on these streets.
There are many interesting places in our city. There are many religious buildings. One of the Orthodox acting churches -St. Trinity Cathedral, built in the middle of the 19th century.
Also, one of the popular places in our city is the Opera and Ballet House. The most popular and exciting ballet is the ballet by P.I. Tchaikovsky- "The Swan Lake".

The nowadays situation in Perm is good. Our city is developing. Our government builds many houses, cultural centers, shops. The Government improves our streets, parks, buildings, churches. I think that soon our city will be one of the interesting and wonderful cities in Russia.

About Myself

About myself
First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Irina. I’m seventeen years old. I was born 27 of January 1990. I’m Aquarius. I like to be free. I have original ideas. Some of my ideas are crazy! I go in for sports. Sometimes I play basket-ball. In summer time I like to swim. Also I like traveling. I think modern life is impossible without travelling.
My family is not very big: Mom, my brother, me and our cat. I have elder brother. His name is Sergey. Sergey is twenty-four. My mom is wonderful women. My mom is forty-five, she works with children. She likes jobs very much. I forgot to mention one more member of our family. It’s Tisha. It’s our favorite cat. My grandparents are retired. They like gardening. They spend a lot of time in the garden. I love my family very much. We always help each other.
We live in three-room flat. The room I like best in our flat is mine. I use my room as a study and a bedroom. It is very nice.
I have a lot of friends. Most of them are my former schoolmates. We spend a lot of time all together. And all holidays we spend together, too. I love my friends.
Among different types of films best of all I like comedy and romantic drama, because such films are very cheerful and full of life.
